I have tried to alter the cover of diary through mixed media..
Supplies used:
Camlin Gesso
Sea shells
Mega deco stones from expressions craft
Tinted metallic paint caribbean teal from little birdie
Foam sticker
Folk art chalk paints

For suggestions if you want, you can try creating more interesting texture on the base which doesn't necessarily be branded products. You can use old ripped cloth, newspaper, corrugated sheet, cloth tags etc.
